Acoustic enclosure

Cab-Expert is specialized in the design, engineering and manufacture of acoustic enclosures, custom-made for clients in a wide variety of industries. The primary function of an acoustic enclosure is to isolate, or at least mitigate, a significant noise source (e.g. noisy machinery). The casing limits reverberation and noise propagation, which protects users in the surrounding space. However, acoustic enclosures have many other functions.

Cab-Expert's custom designed and manufactured acoustic enclosures are made of two or three layers of steel walls, solid or perforated, according to their use, enclosing a layer of at least 4 inches of wool insulation, a housing that absorbs sound waves with superior efficiency. In some cases, an acoustic enclosure is mandatory to create a workplace compliant with CSST standards.

Acoustic enclosures are useful for isolating compressors, generator units, grinders, engravers and all types of particularly noisy machinery. They also offer thermal insulation for maintaining indoor air temperature at an optimum level for the equipment they house. In fact, in addition to noise control, acoustic enclosures allow for the control of air quality, temperature and humidity. Thus, acoustic enclosures protect both the machines and the users who work near them.

Cab-Expert can manufacture completely removable enclosures or provide openings at strategic locations to allow for the smooth delivery of supplies needed for the operation of machinery and to facilitate maintenance. It is also possible to install double-glazed acoustic windows made of ballistic, tempered or laminated glass, as needed, with no loss of efficiency.
